Why do people get heartburn and acid reflux? Acid reflux - TopicsExpress

Why do people get heartburn and acid reflux? Acid reflux disease and heartburn are caused by an excess of acid in the stomach which rises into the esophagus and gives that burning feeling. Medications cover up the problem, they don’t treat the cause. You see, the spine is a casing for all the nerves that run throughout your body. The nerves relay messages from the brain to all the organs in the body. If the bones in the spine are misaligned (out of place) they put pressure on the nerves and the correct message doesn’t get relayed (subluxation). People with heartburn are generally subluxated and the right messages are not getting to their stomach to tell it how much acid it needs to produce. By taking the pressure off the nerves the body is able to regulate how much acid it needs. In our office 95% of patients with these problems get well and stay well, never to take Prilosec, Prevacid, Zantac, or Tums again. There could be a permanent solution for your Heartburn and Acid Reflux.
