Why do the people of Liberia have to suffer so much??!! The effects Ebola are heartbreaking. Bestwa reports: Liberian Ebola death toll rising faster than in any other country. Over 1,000 known cases. President has implemented 9 pm to 6 am curfew. West Point quarantined with troops. WHO says scope of Ebola outbreak vastly underestimated, likely 6-9 months to contain. Many Liberians still believe Ebola doesnt exist or that its a hoax from the government. More are dying from common diseases than Ebola as Liberian health care system collapses. Prices of goods and services soaring. Economic devastation for an already needy population. Land borders closed. Only SN Brussels (until 8/30) & Air Maroc still flying into Monrovia. Schools closed indefinitely. Most government workers sent home. Most aid and missions organizations pulled non-essential workers or left altogether.
