Why do we buy into the lie of consumerism. Bigger, better, more and most of the more, we do not need and never use. We buy it simply to ease the lack. The lack which is an illusion and another lie... for there is an abundance of food, shelter and clothing and enough to go around. We just need to believe it and act upon it. Most material things are bought to purchase the goods and a secret but disposable happiness pill which gives us instant gratification, but illusive happiness, when in fact happiness is right inside of us, if we only start to love ourselves, be grateful for what we have and appreciate the miracles of life, and add meaning to our lives by helping others. Sounds like some good Positive Psychology. Thats what it is.
