Why do we do cardio? So that a fixed amount of work requires less energy. This means that running at a 10km/hour pace for x number of minutes requires a lower average heart rate and a larger (safer) buffer between what you *can* do and what youre actually doing. At rest, this means that your heart rate is lowered and that you deal with stresses better. Immune function, recovery from training and the cost of day to day activities is lowered. Why do we get stronger? For the same damn reasons! Strength increases the buffer between your typical training needs and what youre truly capable of. It reduces overall strain on the system, allows you to train with a lowered risk of overuse injuries and is part of the complete picture of health. What do we do at Bang Fitness? Everything!
