Why do we exist? We are a restoring ministry committed to helping men who have been incarcerated. Most of them find themselves locked up away from their families with no way of communicating with their families. Thus they find themselves with no hope and no vision for the future. We are committed to helping them restore their lives back to becoming a useful and productive member of society once again. How do we fulfill that purpose? 1. By teaching them he word of God through weekly biblical studies. 2. By helping them become free from their addictions and the immediate results thereof. 3. Through visiting the area jails and prisons and sharing the Word of God with those incarcerated. 4. If need be helping them get into recovering facilities like; U Turn For Christ and Teen Challenge. 5. By helping the families during the time of their incarceration. 6. Through trying to help them find jobs and housing, when they get out. 7. Helping to find legal aide if necessary. 8. We try to help the children at certain times of the year to ensure that they do not miss what other children are celebrating because of their parent’s incarceration. For example, we try to make certain at Easter they receive an Easter Basket and at CHRISTmas time every child has a present under the tree. We try to make sure that the impacts of their parent’s incarceration affect them as little as possible as they grow in life. 9. People come to us from all walks of life asking for a kind word and a helping hand sometimes this includes help with an electric bill or their water is about to be shut off or the rent is so far behind they are on the verge of eviction; sometimes they need help finding employment or simply cannot afford needed medications. Some even cannot afford baby food or diapers. Men With a Vision is not a church and is not just made up of men; we have incorporated a very powerful tool since our inception back in June of 1996. That powerful tool is known as WOMEN, AMEN! Men With a Vision is a RESTORATION MINISTRY. The ministry offers a HELPING HAND UP not a HAND OUT! It is of the utmost importance that we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Unction of Holy Spirit to reach out with God’s love for His children. We help find everything from food and clothing, to housing and employment. Whatever the true need is we try to find a Godly way of providing help. A seed is thus planted of Jesus’ love for them that we pray will be nurtured as they grow and actively seek Jesus. Men With a Vision ministers to those that may have been hurt by the Church. We seek to show them God’s love for them and give solid Biblical teachings to build their faith and knowledge in God and His Word. We get to know the area Churches and their pastors, leadership and congregation so that when one comes searching we will know which area Church would be able to fulfill their particular belief and need. Men With a Vision mentors young, old and everything in between to show how to live a life of love for God and others. Men With a Vision offers Pastors a place to come for restoration when they feel they need help or an ear and sound Biblical advise to help them with their need and not have to be afraid of broken confidence. Men With a Vision is a group of men and women of different denominations that have found the common ground on a rock called Jesus. Men With a Vision is an OPPORTUNITY for area Churches to plant a seed in good ground and not be worried about some sort of competition as we work together with Churches in unity to accomplish the same purpose of completing God’s Work; God’s Way. Something that has been needed in this area for a long time.
