Why do we want to seek vengeance and retaliation when we do wrong? Why do we create lies to hid our own short comings? Do we not know God sees and knows all? You can be judged by man....but the only judge I will please is our God. You an try to "save face" on this earth by lies but it will catch up with you and when it does the outcome maybe worse for you than if you had confessed your wrongs and asked for forgiveness. I know the Bible tells us to forgive over and over again. But we are not nowhere close to God and we find it very difficult to forgive once and sometimes impossible to forgive the second time. What do you do? Do you confess? Do you lie more? Do you retialate? Do you take responsibility for your actions and accept the consequences? Do you let your family be shattered only to allow your world to remain perfect? Do you through away trust for a few moments of your own "poor pitiful me" saga? Romans 8 24 & 25. " For we are saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not; then do we with patience wait for it." Patience, a virtue I lack severely is my hope and prayer for today.
