Why does God have Himself as a Lamb sitting on His throne? It - TopicsExpress

Why does God have Himself as a Lamb sitting on His throne? It seems that God wants the world to know it is He that died for the sins of man. The “Lamb” is mentioned in twenty four verses in Revelation. He is the Almighty God, Creator of the universe that humbled Himself, taking on the form of man, supplying the necessity of a perfect, holy sacrifice for sin. He is the Lamb that took away the sins of the world. His name is Jesus. This is the name which is above all of God’s names, for by the name of Jesus, God brought salvation to the world. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Acts 20:28 KJV - Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Revelation 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
