Why does Lord Krishna descend from the spiritual - TopicsExpress

Why does Lord Krishna descend from the spiritual world? Generally, the Lord is busy having loving exchanges with His eternal associates in the spiritual sky. The material world, which is a place He created for the rebellious souls is running according to His laws and under the supervision of those powerful assistants like Brahma, Siva, Surya, Candra, Yamaraja etc. Sometimes, there is some disorder and He will send emissaries like Jesus or Mohammed. But when the situation is critical and the equilibrium is broken, He comes Himself in different forms like Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Nrsimha and others. There are innumerable forms. The Lord says in the Bhagavad-gita: “Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion -- at that time I descend Myself.”(Bg 4.7) In this way He appears and gets involved in the universal affairs. When He comes to reestablish the principles of religion He acts in an examplary manner. He further says in the Gita: “O son of Prtha, there is no work prescribed for Me within all the three planetary systems. Nor am I in want of anything, nor have I a need to obtain anything -- and yet I am engaged in prescribed duties. For if I ever failed to engage in carefully performing prescribed duties, O Partha, certainly all men would follow My path. If I did not perform prescribed duties, all these worlds would be put to ruination. I would be the cause of creating unwanted population, and I would thereby destroy the peace of all living beings.” (Bg 3.22-23-24) The unfortunate miscreants do not recognize the Lord when He descend: “Fools deride Me when I descend in the human form. They do not know My transcendental nature as the Supreme Lord of all that be.”(Bg 9.11) prabhupadavani.org/main/Bhagavatam/169.html
