Why does a Belly Band work? Just like in potty training a human child, your dog "child" does not like to be wet. If a male should decide to wee in the home the Belly Band works much like a nappy, absorbing the urine and keepng it contained. The dog realises very quickly that they do not like to be wet and learn to hold their water. The Belly Band is washable and dryable. They can be hand or machine washed and line dried (preferred) and reused as needed. Just be sure to attach the velcro together before washing to avoid picking up extra lint in the hooks. As mentioned before, a Belly Band is not meant to be worn at all times, but should be seen as a training aid.
