Why does it go without saying that better people deserve more? Surely resourcefulness is the highest virtue and the best people are those who can manage with less, and that is why they are better. Building empires, winning wars and squandering resources on shiney status junk just makes a person look like a dork. These days even ordinary celebrities seem niave to me, almost lifted from a bygone age. Is this a sign of the times or am i getting old?. Furthermore all the centralising institutions of culture, the churches, the BBC, the Tate Gallery, the big publishing houses, the newspapers, The Royal family and the concepts poshness, fame, wealth, glamour, in fact the whole barrel of stinking fish seems hopelessly unnecessary and outmoded to the core. And If it turns out they all happen to be kiddie-fiddling perverts then the people might learn to entertain themselves and refuse to join in with big parades and all the other clap trap. I cant be the only one to be thinking this..Whats going to happen?
