Why does it seem so difficult for community LEADERSHIP to bring the community together and unite around the common issues that we all face? Particularly in the black community we seem be unable to get past this barrier. The state of our communities ultimately falls on the LEADERSHIP. Although, we are not without culpability individually. We are personally responsible, for making the necessary changes in our lives that we need to make in order to effectively evolve with society. Malcolm X said that one of the biggest mistakes of the movement was to try and organize a sleeping people. Its time that we all wake up, to the fact that if we truly desire independence, we will have to confront our internal barriers first and foremost.
