Why does nobody ever talk about the Irish slave trade? Why is it never taught? I am getting a lot of people posting slave trade stuff on my news feed saying never forget etc. I guarantee they dont know about it. Do they know that Irish slaves were cheaper and fed less then African slaves because African slaves had to be kept strong to work where as Irish were disposable. Also the poor from all over Britains slums were arrested for minuscule things like being homeless and sent over to Australia to work. Its not a competition between whos ancestry had it worst as every race(race being a blurred melting pot today anyway so why people pick sides is beyond me), the theme throughout history is the classism that goes on. The 1% crippling everybody else, those in power and an influential position keeping it that way and most everybody else oppressed. I wrote this because I called out a flat out racist that was basically wanting a white vs black war and calling everybody that disagrees an Uncle Tom was preaching saying black people cant be racist because black people are the only ones that have ever been oppressed. You cant blame him for his ignorance but his education and upbringing.
