Why does the city (or state) charge businesses who already have a cabaret license and extra 10% for live entertainment (and not DJs)? Where does that money go? Into local music programing Arts and culture development? To pay some strange tax to some corporation who has an abstract control on all music (haha)? Can someone help me out on this? Ive heard of this rumor for years, but never got all the details. And obviously have never been personally confronted as I dont own a venue/bar. Is it even real?
