It can pick up early signs of kidney disease, diabetes or hyperthyroidism. Your vet may also recommend a blood pressure and urine tests to supplement this. Chronic kidney disease: Symptoms include weight loss, excess drinking and urination, depression, acute blindness, seizures, coma. >BUN Blood urea nitrogen: Elevated levels can indicate kidney disease. > Creatinine: Elevated levels can indicate kidney disease.
