Why dont more people use copper wire , copper gauge adapters or copper distribution blocks v.s. Copper clad aluminum , aluminum gauge adapters, and aluminum distribution blocks (using the same amount/lengths of wire) Copper is more conductive then aluminum (aluminum has only 61% of the conductivity of copper). Also regarding the fact of power loss over a distance and unnecessary heat created over that distance especially with added heat in an engine bay. * I understand price would be a huge determining factor and you could always add more aluminum/cca wire to overcome losses. Has anyone done a comparison on an all aluminum install v.s. an all copper install would be interesting to see the differences score v.s. efficiency.
