Why has HRD ministry been awarded to a 12th pass? If you are one of those asking this question, here is the answer: - HRD make policies to harness of all of India, not a company. If you are comparing the HRD ministers educational qualification with the qualification of that M.Tech executive in the HR department, that is a folly - and it is a common folly. The HR departments job is to make policies for a company that helps them retain and develop manpower of a certain minimum qualification. The HRD in a country doesnt function like that. It keeps an eagles eye view, not a micro view. The average qualification of an Indian is elementary school. - Does the lack of an extra 5 years of education make your minister dumb? The answer is no. This is a woman who has worked in McDonalds cleaning floors, taking orders, and working her way up to the top in the TV industry. Finally jumping into politics. This is a woman who knows her way around. This takes perseverance. Genius is 10% talent, and 90% perseverance. - If you are THAT concerned about education, remember, Kejriwal is an IIT. You should have voted for him instead of Modi, who is a mere graduate, that too not a technical one. But the whole point of an education is, to get technically proficient - whether in literature or technology. It doesnt give you common sense, which is needed to make great policies. Ask Lincoln or George Washington. If you insist on being technical, ask Michael Faraday, Ramanujan and Mendel. If you insist on computer geniuses, ask Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison, there is a very long list. So get over your educational hangover. It is just a piece of paper. Copied from Aman Chadha
