Why have a relationship with Christ? His relationship with you prepares you to develop relationships with others, on a deeper and more intimate level.. Frequently, we jump from one relationship to another, in an attempt to find a sense of fulfillment. We become discouraged and settle for less than what we really desire in a relationship. Once we have developed a "marriage "( an intimate or close union for example, the marriage of painting and poetry — J. T. Shawcross) with Christ, we can begin a relationship or union with another person. This applies to all relationships, not just the relationship of husband and wife. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 ESV Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone?
