Why i never regretted a backlog after the First time? When we talk about any engineering college, we normally imagine the bullshit examination structure which every engineering college have, the difficult examination structure and IPU is no different. Though just by looking at previous year papers, you could tell that IPU management takes more pain in licking the asses of their seniors than in setting the exam papers. But, still it’s perfectly normal to get a backlog. Imagine your school days, you must have been good at some subjects and sucked at others. But in first year, here at IPU, you get to study almost every subject, from the ones you loved to the ones you hated. A Maths topper may not be that good in physics or C or in Mechanics. Nobody is good in Mechanics. The ones who top mechanics exams must have crammed to death all those FBDs and shit. Point here is about the backlog and getting a backlog. The first time I got a backlog- I got the news when I was travelling In a Metro; I got down at a random station and sat there for around 40 minutes, and was unable to get normal for around a month. For a school topper to get a backlog in his first semester in college was really devastating. I was not used to failures. Nobody is used to failures. Toppers don’t want to get used to failures. If you succeed once, you always wish to succeed forever. Getting my first backlog was in a way, mental trauma for me. But then everything got normal, and I pledged that I won’t get another. But as it turned out, because of some serious involvement in ECA, and not studies, I got couple more in my 3rd semester. Hah! Pain in the ass got doubled. But there was a difference in the way I reacted when I got a backlog for the 2nd time. I was cool with it. A 2nd year students normally gets this thing marks in IPU, is all but a lie. Marks can’t decide your future. I have every reason to believe that students who got better marks than me are better crammers and not intelligent or some shit. You always have another chance to clear a backlog and clear it with better marks. There is no difference in exam paper of back log, it is same for the regular ones and for the back holders. You may face some scrutiny if you have a nerd girlfriend. Parents scold for a week or so. Relatives? Never had relatives, will never have relatives. I never regretted a backlog, after the first time. If you have one, just calm down. Stay away from facebook and your fake friends and cram harder the next time you sit for this bull”sit” examination.
