Why is 1Direction now my favorite band? Many of you have been asking me for the full story of Cam. Cam had one wish before she died. Her wish was posted by her mother last Thursday. Here it is: Ok folks. Miss Cam has asked for one thing for the last three years- to meet 1D, in particular Harry Styles. Weve tried every way we have had available to us. Time is short. If you know anyone who can help... We just are looking for a personalized video message to Cam fro...m the boys. Weve given up on a meet and greet. But to hear Harry and Niall and Louis and Zayn and Liam say Halo Campbell. We hear youre not feeling well... But we wanted you to know we think youre beautiful. and sing her fav 1D song ....that would bring the biggest smile to her face. So, Team Campbell -GO! Many of us came together and contacted everyone we knew to make her wish come true. And her wish was granted. Instead of a call or virtual message, Harry Styles went to her home to personally visit Cam and her family. The pictures are of Cam and Caroline with Harry Styles. Thank you: Campbell (Cam) Hoyt has been battling Ependymoma, brain and spine cancer, since August, 20, 2009. She was just 3 years old when she was diagnosed. Cam has now been placed on hospice care and has one simple wish. To meet One Direction. There is no known cure for multiple recurrent anaplastic ependymoma. Earlier this summer, Campbell had major disease progression and the Hoyts insurance company was refusing treatment for Cam. On July 16, through the power of social media and the generosity and tenaciousness of the local community, over $47,000 was raised in just one day and due in part to the awareness and pressure generated, the insurance company agreed to cover treatment for Cam.
