Why is Scotlands environment not being discussed in the run up the referendum? I feel I have to remind all the NO voters and undecided of how imperative it is we have full control over our environmental policies. At the moment David Cameron has set his sights on fracking a huge area of Scotland within some of our most treasured landscapes. If you are unaware of the dangers of fracking then I urge you to look up Frack Off Scotland and be fully informed on how this process will threaten our environment and water systems. frackoffscotland.org.uk/ Scotland is famous for its water and it is up to us to protect it and ensure that we preserve our environment for ourselves and future generations. Human activity is severely harming Scotlands biodiversity and ecosystems which are vital to our survival. By staying in a union with Westminster, our renewable energy plans and environmental protection policies will be decided by men and women whos fundamental interest is to create as much wealth for themselves by draining Scotlands resources. Westminsters interests solely lie with their investments in the fracking companies they have allowed to drill in many areas in England. Now they have set their sights on Scotland! Jim Ratcliffe, chairman of $43 billion (sales) chemical powerhouse Ineos Group, has acquired a fracking license at Grangemouth which will cover the whole of the Midland Valley. The only way we can fully protect Scotland is to vote YES and have full control of our environment within our own parliament. This way we can stop fracking and continue to promote our renewable energy plans to become a greener Scotland for our children.
