Why is Urban Rebounding so efficient? During normal exercise, gravity affects you on the horizontal plane. However much you weigh normally, is the same amount that you weigh during traditional exercise such as running, walking, or even Step Aerobics. You are only opposing gravity on one plane and cannot make your body “weigh more” by opposing gravity on more than one plane. The Urban Rebounder allows you to oppose gravity on more than one plane. As you jump up and down, the mat surface allows your body to pass the “ground” and your body has to overcome this change. As you work against the vertical plane, you become heavier and heavier and your body works harder and harder.
