Why is anyone surprised by Victoria Osteens statement? Seriously? Why? Mrs. Osteen just told the truth, thats all. I dont know why anyone is surprised. Seriously. Has any mega church ever preached about sin, repentance from sin, denying yourself, taking up your cross, truly following The Lord, submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, getting on the narrow way, our reward is great in heaven, dont be focused on the temporary things of this world or any of the things Jesus actually preached about? Its always been about man and what man wants. Its always been about God blessing man and man getting what he/she wants out of this life. It has always been Your best life now. This is not even Christianity let alone Christian. Why do you think Jesus Christ said Hes going to spit out all the lukewarm Christians? Why do you think Jesus Christ HATED hypocrisy? Thats all Western Christianity is today, hypocrisy. Its not about Jesus, its all about man. Thats why these churches, if we can even call them that, replace every confronting passage and teaching in The Holy Bible, and the real gospel, with would you like to say a prayer accepting Jesus into your heart. It makes me sick - as Im sure youve all seen in my posts. I really dont think there is anything that makes me more angry than people perverting and twisting the only way a person can get saved from eternal hell fire - the gospel of Jesus Christ - to make it all about man and getting all his/her desires in this life when Christ actually told us to die to all these things. Im ashamed to call myself a Christian sometimes, it is an absolute embarrassment to a Holy God. Sadly, most of the people who attack you when you say things like this are professing Christians... But, unsurprisingly, Jesus said that would happen too. Heres an apology, Im not sure to who really... the world I guess.
