Why is it that churches treat pastors like employees of a corporation? What ever happened to the Biblical ideology of pastor-teacher being a gift from God to a body, not the body being a gift to the pastor? I am counseling many pastors who feel like they are the low man on the totem pole. Many are told what to teach on, how to teach, what they should do or not do. God did not call a committee nor speak to the congregation of Israel. Instead God spoke to Moses then Joshua. This is what happens when the worldly ways creep into the church. The church is not a business corporation and it is not to be run this way. Listen there is no CEO and board of Directors. If so, you are in a dead church. Instead the church was founded on Jesus Christ, every believer is in Jesus Christ and to serve Him like a believer-priest. The Pastor-teacher is suppose to equip the body for the work of the ministry, Eph. 4:12.
