Why is it that somehow sometimes I think that it is safer around - TopicsExpress

Why is it that somehow sometimes I think that it is safer around the police in some dictatorial countries than it is in some democratic states? Many a time one has become more afraid of many Police Officers than one is afraid of many gang members. I often hear they say that any major crimes that have occurred to civilians under which a dictatorial administration governs that this particular administration should be held accountable for all the injustices done to the people. In other words if those occurring abuse of power scenarios have made national TV news then it would be fair to say that members of Congress must be aware of those occurrences. And if so why wouldnt they take some corrective measures against those abuses or injustices? Does anyone imagine what would have happened to this citizen if the individual with the camera hadnt been taping the whole incident for us to see in this deserted area? Police brutality doesnt only happen to black people in case you wonder it is a power-trip ego by some men in uniform. In many cases if you take away the uniform or the badge there isnt a real person left. It is too bad for the good officers whom the public will have a hard time differentiating them from the uniform. -Widmack Belot.
