Why is it that we cant just say it? Christianity and Islam arent just beliefs, they are fundamentally incorrect ways of viewing the world based on the evidence we can now present with scientific research in varying fields of study, especially in evolutionary biology and human behavioral science. The fundamentals of these belief systems arent just wrong, however, they are psychologically unhealthy for the human psyche and often counterproductive to any substantive enhancement to our conscious minds given the superstitious nature of these beliefs. Viewing ourselves as flawed and broken as a result of birth in need of supernatural or divine influence is actually harmful to many who may suffer from psychological disorders as it encourages delusional thinking and gives it validity under the guise of faith in religion. I would assert that these ideas and the architecture of the thinking that upholds them is both a danger and an ever present threat to humankind and a destabilizing factor to our overall capacity to make the next step in our evolution. -Timothy Havener
