Why is it that whenever something terrible happens in the news, and the offender has a vagina, we are all expected to find some exonerating factor in order to avoid placing any responsibility at her feet? If you have a child, and you cannot handle the situation you find yourself in, you turn that child over to the proper authorities. If you dont, and you murder that child, you should not expect a Facebook campaign attempting to paint you as blameless. Yes, Im going to judge you. Everyone with a sense of moral outrage should judge you. Women, you are fully capable human beings with agency, rights, and freedoms. And that means responsibilities too. Thats called equality. No one on this site tried to find a way not to blame the London banker who shot his kids, and no one should be finding excuses for this woman, no matter how difficult her circumstances
