Dear Antoinette I understand that Andrew xxxxxxxx of the Special Projects Branch has forwarded the letter I sent to his office on the 15th. The contents pertains to the above company; the background is the whole affair of Pepper coming to Ireland and purchasing the mortgage loan book of GE Woodchester Home Loans Limited, basically they bought the company and GE left Ireland; the media made great show of Pepper purchasing GE, however on the CRO and Land Registry site they show the move as just a ‘name change’; this, from even a casual glance, the observer would see that it was a move to save the company paying any revenue fees. My conservative estimate of the revenue lost to your office is around €3 Million, if my suspicions are in anyway correct; although I feel this figure would be much higher. Pepper are a vulture company and whilst I am a reluctant mortgagor with them, it is true that they have come to Ireland to asset strip; they bought the loan book for a reported 40% of the face value, whilst we understand it was actually 16% and from my observations they have been allowed to run amuck on the Irish People with little restraints or adherence to the rules. Their submission to CRO and the Land Registry has gone unchallenged. I have enclosed a large amount of documentation whereby Pepper report a sale and a purchase and yet record, with Cro that it is a name change. I look forward to your response.
