Why is the Government of India showing an edgy descend to de-classify Netaji Bose’s files? The Mukherjee commission clearly points out that there was no evidence of a flight crash in Taiwan on August 18th 1945, nor was there any evidence of Bose’s body being identified by the doctors in Taiwan. Why is the government shying away to expose what was as my friend Anuj Dhar indicates perhaps the greatest cover-up in Asia’s history? The citizens of this nation and the world at large deserve to know the truth about Bose! Did he live his life as a political prisoner in Russia at the behest of the Congress government led by Nehru? Or did he actually as many have stated lived out his life as an ascetic? Not once but twice now the BJP governments have backed out from de-classification of Bose’s files.
