Why is the grief from child loss so different from any other kind of loss? Because it is out of the natural order of life for a child to die before his/her parents. It is our innate nature -- our purpose -- to be our childs protector, to be here for our child, to take care of our child. And, when that order is broken, so are our lives. We were made to take care of our children, and when child loss takes place we feel immense loss and guilt because we feel as though we didnt hold up to what we were supposed to do -- keep our child safe and protect our child. Child loss is the most painful loss anyone will ever endure!
