Why is this stupid Maserati issue all over television & social media? Will the questionable testimonies given in front of a TV camera be of any significance in actual legal proceedings? Its sickening to see these piddling stories prosper when the media brings them to the fore in the name of ratings and audience share. Shouldnt the judicial process precede the media circus? Our sense of justice seems to be predicated on the hype surrounding an issue, rather than its substance. If our courts, with all their judges & lawyers, could serve justice with the same ruthless efficiency that our tabloid media can sensationalize these non-issues, then maybe the criminals and the corrupt would actually fear the Law more than the consequences (or lack thereof) of a trial by publicity.
