Why many French-speaking Grenadians ended up in Trinidad? When the British took over ruler ship of Grenada from the French, there was serious tension between the French Grenadians who were mostly Roman Catholics and the Episcopal British. To cut a long story short, many Grenadians headed for Trinidad under conditions arranged by a man called Roume de St. Laurent. So you can see that Grenadians found themselves in Trinidad a long time ago.
