Why must we imitate everything the disbelievers are doing ? Islaam is perfect and Islaam is the only religion that treats everything in life, if you dont know just ask those who know, from how to get married to intercourse to giving birth to death and burial, islaam taught us everything, including how to enter toilet, eat and urinate. We know the disbelievers dont have all this which is why they do things off head, the shehu of borno had ordered muslim to fast in event of boko haraam mayhem. As far as my research reach and Allaah knows best, there is nothing like this in Islaam it is an habit of the christians to fast when they need something from GOD, ahlus sunnah from all over nigeria have started supplicating Al Qunut in the obligatory prayer in congregation calling on GOD to bring an end to this Boko haraam hideous activity, we know that it is our sins that has cost us this sorrowful thing and we turn to him in repentance. If you are praying in any of our mosque across nigeria you will testify to this that we have started Al Qunut and alhamdulilah the news from sambisa forest in Borno that we are getting is interesting as we have heard boko haraam commander telling his followers to go home the battle has ended after suffering many blow in the frontline and in their camp which was uncovered. People of Borno are rejoicing as at yesterday according to BBC hausa service. Back to the issue, Instead of imitating the kufaar in fasting what should we do apart from Al Qunut ? There are several authentic hadith which says that Allaah descend on the first heaven (sky) in the last part of the night of every night asking us to ask him anything and He will grant us. May Allaah make us understand islaam very well and not engage in ignoramus innovation Amin
