Why not bacon? And why I do not promote bacon? Regardless of what brand of bacon we are talking about, whether its organic, nitrate free, low sodium, no sugar, blah, blah, blah, bacon is still calories made up of sodium and fat!! Even the so called healthiest bacon, which would be the organic, nitrate and gmo free kind, can still carry 60+ calories per 2 slices and 200+ grams of sodium!! If youre lucky you might get 2-4 grams of protein. If you want to eat your bacon, go ahead, but dont come on this page to boast about how great it is, keep it to yourself. And wrapping vegetables with bacon is defeating the purpose of getting healthy. Thats like eating great all day long then having a hot fudge sundae or banana split after dinner, an hour before you go to bed, or going to workout and going to McDonalds after. Some of you need to remember what this page is about, its not about just losing weight, its about choosing the right foods that contain the right nutrients that best benefit our health, and bacon is not one of those choices.
