Why should you participate in ILC AMMAN upcoming Reggio Emilia Workshop/Conference? This Conference, like the 2012 AREA International Conference,differs from traditional conferences in that it presents a unique opportunity for educators in Jordan and the Middle East area, to listen to and engage directly with representatives from Reggio Children, Reggio Emilia, Italy. Educators will also be able engage with national representatives of the Reggio Children International Network from different regions about the world-renowned Reggio Emilia’s MunicipalSchools approach to education. The opportunity also exists for conference participants to join this Middle Eastern Reggio Emilia Alliance and to form networks with other educators in the region to support an ongoing understanding of the educational project of Reggio Emilia. About the Reggio Emilia Approach Hailed by Newsweek magazine as being among the best forms of early childhood education in the world, the Reggio Emilia approach, which originated after World War II in Northern Italy, is recognised worldwide for its innovative approach to education. From 25 to27 June 2013, representatives from Reggio Children in Reggio Emilia will be visiting Johannesburg and will be speaking at a conference of educators and other professionals.
