Why the Eagles will NOT get Marcus Mariota: Lets face it. 80% of us want him, as he would fit well in Chip Kellys system. But getting him, even if we were to lose out and miss the playoffs, would mean we have to give up a few first round picks and/or a star player. And Chips system has shown that we can still be a good team without investing in a big-time QB. Also, GM Howie Roseman is more of a conservative General Manager. He goes for the big splash player, but not always the big name player. Example? Malcolm Jenkins over Jairus Byrd/TJ Ward. We all want Mariota, but whether you like it or not, Philly WILL have Foles as next years starter. They feel very highly of his potential, and will not give up on him after a bad half of a season this year. -MK21
