Why we dont celebrate Halloween...Exodus 20:1-5: 20 And God spoke all these words: 2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 3 “You shall have no other gods before[a] me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, Celebrating Halloween is hailing (an exclamation of greeting or acclamation) the demonic spirit/god behind this practice when in fact God specifically commanded his people NOT TO ACKNOWLEDGE ANY OTHER GOD --BEFORE OR BESIDES HIM. As Derek Prince wrote in his book, Blessing or Curse, You Can Choose, It is not enough to acknowledge the Lord as the first or greatest of all gods. We must acknowledge that He is the only true God. There is no other besides Him. This direct disobedience of acknowledging other gods whether intentionally or not is a direct disobedience to His command, a form of disobedience which will inevitably incur Gods curse on the parents to their children and their childrens children and even their childrens childrens children(verse 5). This is pretty serious so we are taking Gods Word seriously as well. For those who have not been aware of this, there is hope. God has provided a way out of this curse. 1 John 1:9 says, 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Confess this as sin before God(an act of faith and humility before Him) and renounce your involvement in it (do this out loud so the demonic spirits can hear.) Then, acknowledge Gods Son, Jesus (John 3:16-16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Romans 10:9-10: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.) Say something like this: Lord Jesus, I thank You for dying on the cross for me. I accept you as my Saviour.I invite You now to be Lord of every area of my life--Lord of my mind and all my thoughts, Lord of my emotions and all my feelings and my reactions, Lord of my will and all my decisions, Lord of my body and all my behaviour, Lord of my spirit and my relationship with You, Lord of my time, my work, my home, my family,my possessions and all my relationships. Thank you that Your blood was shed that I might be set free. Amen(p469-470, Healing Through Deliverance by Peter Horrobin) Thank God for saving you and for providing a way of escape through His Son, Jesus Christ. Read Gods Word, the Bible and learn of Him. Gods plan for you is good and perfect (Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version-11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.) You can choose today! (Deuteronomy 11:26-28: 26 See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: 27the blessing, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am commanding you today; 28and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, by following other gods which you have not known.) I hope you choose life!
