Why we have this Fuel Oil Crisis? Is this sheer incompetence that govt agencies never predicted increased demand in wake of falling prices or vested interests in government decided to make money by creating a crisis? We remember only a few days ago this government raised GST from 17% to 22% on the plea that due to falling oil prices they are losing revenue, I had pointed out on these pages that their reasoning was flawed and they were only hiding their overall incompetence in meeting budgetary targets in end December and their eyes were on windfall from falling oil prices. Can these over smart and over-greedy characters not engineer an artificial crisis for reaping profits as Rauf Klasra has accused in his tweet? Oil selling in international markets at $48 and 80% of Pakistan without gasoline? What is your analysis?
