Why we should save up early and start investing early!! Since I started undergraduate school, I was also giving tuition to earn extra every month. I supported myself for all my undergraduate studies till master degree. Studying has been a good investment for me, it propelled my promotion in work and giving tuition gave me more income to save. By the time I was 27, I could easily get myself a pte property. I was glad I did not dump my money to fully pay an S5 at that time which I almost did. I didnt because I was with Alicealwaysinwonderland Huimin and we have plans to get married. In the first 2 years of marriage, while adjusting to married life, I was counting all my expenses and was rather strict with it. I collected all my receipts, key into an apps and calculated my expenditure religiously. We could still go for holidays and enjoy nice meals while spending only 30% of my income. I dont keep track so closely as before now, as my income increased but still maintaining the same lifestyle. I pay for all household expenditure and my wife gets to keep every single cent she earned. Then invest! Invest in education and assets. Having a car, is also in a way an investment for me as it helped me multiply my income. Start young! Enjoy a little in life but dont over spend!
