Why we will not see a movie criticizing Sikhism at the level #PK criticized Hinduism? - Because if that had happened, there is high probability that a random sikh guy would have murdered Aamir Khan/Hirani by now, SGPC (Sikh parliament) would have declared the Sikh guy a martyr and majority of the moderate Sikhs would have justified the murder by saying baaz naal je baaz larawan,....., it had to be done for self-defense. - Hinduism is much better at taking criticism. There is no central authority in Hinduism and since time immorial there is an inherent/intrinsic confusion about almost all aspects of Hinduism. So no belief is held as strongly. In spite of Hindu radicals being in power in India, all we have seen is some local vandalism and calls for boycott of the movie/Aamir Khan. We need #PK themed movies on Sikhism and Islam. You think Sikhism cannot be criticized at that level. Well, Sikhism is indeed softer on casteism and women (which is good), but there is plenty to criticize. The sword culture, the revenge culture, and not to forget the miracles performed by Sikh gurus, especially the founder of Sikhism. About Islam, we already know it is a mother lode of bad ideas. (Courtesy - Sam Harris). PS - Not defending any religion. All religions are just kiddish stories taken too seriously. But there is difference between religions and we should highlight that.
