Why you should NOT play this years Breast Cancer Awareness game. First, and most obvious, it does nothing to help cure or prevent breast cancer. Second, and equally obvious, is that after warning people for the last decade to NOT post anything that you dont want people to see for all of eternity, this years game asks people to post extremely embarrassing statements without explanation. Anyone who comments is then written privately and told that if they dont ALSO post something absurdly embarrassing that they are a spoil sport. Dont do it. Think about this: If the embarrassing statement is seen by 1/3 of your friends, and only a handful comment, then that leaves the rest of your friends believing that your husband was cheating, you flashed your boobs to a cop, that you dont wear underwear... you get the idea. Even if you post an explanation, only 1/3 of your friends will see the denial, and because of FBs algorithms, it is unlikely to be the same people. Even if it is, research has shown that once a piece of false information enters the public conscious, it is extremely hard to get rid of. Consider the number of people who still believe that Iraq was involved in 9/11. So dont start rumors about yourself. It wont help breast cancer, and it can come back to bite you in the butt.
