Wi-Fi network at Celtic Park in season 2013/14 THIS year, following the most comprehensive survey of Celtic’s Season Ticket Holders, the club made a commitment to improve the matchday experience for every Celtic supporter for next season. Today, the club is proud to announce the first details of those improvements being developed ahead of the 2013/14 season. The exciting news for every Celtic supporter is that Celtic Park will soon boast one of the most technologically advanced Wi-Fi networks available in any sports stadia in the world. The state-of-the-art Wi-Fi Connectivity will improve the matchday experience for every Celtic fan at Paradise. Celtic has teamed up with Sports Revolution, the sports media and digital marketing agency, and Cisco, to bring intelligent, high-density Wi-Fi to Celtic Park through Cisco’s Connected Stadium Wi-Fi. This will be one of the first hi-density networks to be installed in the UK that provides Wi-Fi which has been installed in venues including Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium and Manchester City’s Etihad stadium. Every Celtic supporter will be able to access the new Wi-Fi network through their smartphones and tablets, whether on the stadium concourses, in the hospitality lounges or in the comfort of their own seats and will find that their matchday experience at Celtic Park is significantly enhanced. High speed wireless Internet will give fans access to a range of content and the ability to instantly share content from memorable Celtic Park experiences with friends, family and fellow Celtic fans across the world. Sports Revolution are also working with Celtic to develop an exclusive app called ‘CelticLive’ that fans will be able to download to their smartphones from early in the 2013/14 season. The app, built on Sports Revolution’s StadiumLive platform, will give users the ability to view and interact with a wide range of relevant and engaging club content, specifically designed to enhance matchday at Celtic Park.
