Wicca is a modern religion from the 1950s. Why would Hogwarts, an ancient school that caters to a long lineage of wizards, have Wiccans when Wicca was invented in the 40s and 50s? It wouldnt. Practical Kabbalah - the use of Kabbalah for magical uses, not for theological or contemplative uses - is a longstanding practice in Judaism, although it was pretty much roundly condemned by actual Jewish authorities of all stripes. Of course, Rowlings work has nothing to do with any real magic. Its all based on faux Latin incantations and personal magical power, not Kabbalistic rites, or sigils, or charms, or any of that. So while it makes sense that Jews could have their own magical traditions within the HP universe, a religion created in the 40s and 50s could not. Wicca is about as old as Scientology, and about as credible (sry, Wiccans, but fax iz fax) And considering all of the modern variations of Wicca (Gardnerian, Alexandrian, solitary, Fairie, Dianic, etc etc.) itd be impossible to actually incorporate Wicca into the world without someone getting enraged about (WHAT ABOUT DIANIC LESBIAN WICCA WHAT ABOUT STREGHIA WHAT ABOUT SAEX etc etc)
