Wild Dog Baiting throughout October NOTICE: WILD DOG BAITING CAMPAIGN Wild dog baiting will be carried out in the Balonne Shire from Monday 14th October, until Friday 18th October in the following areas: Date Time Location Monday 14th October 8am Wonolga Rd 1pm Ula Ula turnoff Tuesday 15th October 8am Boolba Reserve Wednesday 16th October 9am Noondoo and Dirranbandi Thursday 17th October 9am Bollon Aerodrome (Authorised officer entry only to this baiting station) Friday, 18th October 9am Gravel Pit on Barwon Highway, near Chelmer Rd Friday, 18th October 1pm Thallon rubbish dump Landowners are advised that anyone wishing to participate in this campaign must inform the Balonne Shire Council. Meat baits will be supplied by Council and landowners are to contact the Rural Lands Officer, Mr Karl Hemstead, if they have not already done so on 0429 208 861. NOTICE TO TRAVELLERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS Tourists and local community members are requested to be vigilant with their pets during baiting periods and take caution whilst travelling around the Balonne Shire. 1080 baits can remain live for long periods of time on properties adjacent to main roads and other road networks within the Shire boundary, especially during during dry conditions.
