Holden 12 minutes ago From CDOT on the I-70 closure near Beaver Brook: Currently, only one lane of eastbound and westbound I-70 between US 6 and Hidden Valley is open with all traffic running on the eastbound lanes. Traffic on westbound I-70 at Beaver Brook is being detoured to the US 6 exit where they will be routed onto eastbound I-70. This configuration will be in place until the rock scaling on westbound I-70 is complete. In addition, motorists on eastbound and westbound I-70 between Beaver Brook and Hidden Valley can expect intermittent 20-minute traffic stops for the scaling operations. Crews will close I-70 for 20 minutes at a time for scaling operations and then reopen the highway for 20 minutes to clear traffic. This cycle will continue through the scaling operations. Due to the unpredictable conditions, it is unknown how long the scaling will take. Major delays are expected. If motorists must travel, alternate routes such as US 285 are strongly advised.
