Petition For Peace - Send UN Peackeepers To Palestine Former Israeli mediator Dershen Baskin states : if the only answer Israel has is militarily, it will not be a victory in the way that we need because we will just be here again in a year or two years from now. What we need to have is a political program and an economic program thats going to answer the needs of the Palestinian people and end the Israeli occupation, making peace, and an economic plan for Gaza similar to a Marshall Plan. It is my belief that the way to such a plan and a permanent peace will come to Palestine and Israel is for a UN Peacekeeping Force to be deployed to Palestine to help with building a recognized Palestinian Nation, to help rebuild from decades of devastation, to help weed out terrorists, and thus bring true protection for both the peoples of Palestine and Israel.
