William L Brown is the owner of a very large farm in Macon County Georgia. his familys very popular farm market located on Hwy 49 was always packed during the summer. I got to know Mr. Brown this year as we were both in the Georgia Grown Network. He, being a much more experienced grower than I really helped me especially when it came to how he brought his produce to market. Last night Mr. Brown was killed in a car accident in Macon County on a lonely stretch of Hwy 49. The person in the other car (a retired Macon County school administrator) was also killed. I will miss him next season. More importantly, Macon County has lost a leader and true visionary. I have one of his farms t-shirts, I think I will wear it tomorrow in his honor. @William L Brown Farm Market.
