William’s Fund Christmas Cards Keep the Christmas card - TopicsExpress

William’s Fund Christmas Cards Keep the Christmas card tradition alive … ppppick up a pencil! Just arrived at Activity Chest is this year’s William’s Fund Christmas card! Once again the card is an Elizabeth Cox painting of family life, with all the usual little quirks expected in a William’s Fund card - the mouse, penguin and G. Fans of these cards will understand! 68% of the sale of William’s Fund cards goes directly to Childhood Cancer Research at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. The remaining 32% covers the cost of printing, card and envelopes. No administration costs are taken from the cards. Over the last 13 years Christmas cards alone have raised £173,000 for William’s Fund. At Activity Chest we have supported William’s Fund for 9 years and card sales at Christmas continue to amaze us. With the increased use of e-cards and all things online, we had expected to sell fewer cards, but each year we have been surprised and the quantity has remained static. Even in this age of electronic wizardry people still love to receive cards and read those little personal messages inside and, of course, e-cards don’t sit on the shelf or decorate a room quite as well as the ‘real’ thing! Cost of these quality cards is £20 per pack of 50 cards (40p each) and we will split packs into 25s. Cash or cheque payable to ‘William’s Fund’ please. Cards are the standard letter size so OK for an ordinary 1st or 2nd class stamp. Don’t like the postage? Find out if there are local groups such as Scouts that distribute Christmas mail in your local area to help the community for a small donation.
