Willis Warner is the namesake for Warner Avenue and he was also my great uncle. He was born in 1889 and lived in Huntington Beach from 1905 until he died in 1963. He was on the Orange County Board of Supervisors from 1939 to 1963 and was called Mr. Orange County for all of his many years of service to OC. Wintersburg Road was changed to Warner Avenue in 1964 to commemorate his contributions to OC and the city of HB.
