Wills & Probate Solicitor My client based Cambridge is looking to recruit for a Wills & Probate Solicitor to join their team. The purpose of this role will be to take an active role in building and expanding the firms wills and probate department. The successful candidate will have to manage their own caseload and will also be expected to promote and develop the departments marketing, as well as working closely with the partners to promote the department and firm as a whole. To be considered for this role it is essential that candidates are 2 years PQE. You must have the ability to identify risk and carry out effective risk assessment, be an excellent communicator who has the ability to work as a team or individually, ability to work autonomously and to make timely and well considered decisions. Ideally candidates will be able to manage effectively conflicting priorities and enjoy the challenge of managing a caseload. As well as his you should be capable of using diplomacy, tact and sensitivity when dealing with others and the desire to be able to raise the firms profile and recognise business opportunities. The successful candidate will have knowledge of law concerning probate, wills, trusts, estate planning, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection and all other areas of wills and probate work. Having some knowledge of family law will be an advantage. Ideally candidates will be working towards STEP Membership and have some knowledge of contentious probate. They should also have the ability to demonstrate experience of marketing and developing a wills and probate department.
