Wilshere To Fight Ramsey For Goals. According to Daily Star, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that the excellent early form of midfielder Aaron Ramsey can inspire teammate Jack Wilshire to want to emulate his British compatriot at the club this season. Ramsey has already made a name for himself this term as one of the most in form players in the Premier League and lethal midfielders in Europe after already notching up 11 goals. Wilshire took a step towards making a name for himself just like his midfield colleague by scoring a well timed brace that gifted the Gunners all 3 points against Marseille in their Champions League clash on Day 5 and pushed the Gunners towards qualification. An obviously delighted revealed how the pair have propelled the club to the top of the table already. He said: “I liked his first goal because before he would rush a little bit. “He is starting to think, ‘What (Aaron) Ramsey can do, I can do as well’, the first goal shows that.” What Ramsey can do, Wilshere can do better! It will be nice to see a healthy competition between both players with regards to scoring goals. Both players have the opportunity to score goals now because they can go forward now that Arsenal have a natural defensive minded midfielder in the person of Flamini. Between both players, I believe Ramsey will score more goals because the Welshman unlike his English counterpart isn’t shy of shooting when the opportunity presents itself while Wilshere prefers getting close to the goalkeeper and picking his spot. Adding goals to his game will make Wilshere a more complete midfielder. His ability on the ball isn’t in doubt with regards to dribbling, passing and making assist but he needs to add goals to his game, guess he has started now with 4 goals already this season.
